Yacht Club F&B Operations Manager
The Yacht Club F&B Operations Manager is responsible for managing the overall MSC Yacht Club Food and Beverage operation, shipboard and shoreside, and deliver the highest guest satisfaction results.
While continuously looking to evolve the MSC Yacht Club Food and Beverage product, the job holder will implement new ideas and concepts and conducts regular ship visits ensuring the MSC Yacht Club F&B products and services are delivered as per the MSC Yacht Club luxury standards.
- Relevant working experience in positions of high responsibility in the hotel or food & beverage sectors;
- Extended experience in managing F&B Luxury Operations and knowledge of the cruise industry;
- Fluent English.
Any additional language is an advantage;
- Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent;
- Certificate or diploma in food safety or HACCP;
- Strong leadership and influencing skills to support peers on board;
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data;
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Acts as brand and quality ambassador for MSC Yacht Club and F&B Operations Department;
- Conducts regular ships visits to ensure the MSC Yacht Club F&B product is consistently delivered and exceeds guest expectations;
- Works proactively with the shoreside and shipboard team to develop and update MSC Yacht Club SOPs and facilitates shipboard implementation;
- Works closely with the shipboard leadership and shoreside procurement to ensure that F&B products and service equipment are readily available onboard, in all canvases, and as per set par levels.
Takes immediate actions to address missing product and shipping delays;
- Responsible for the Yacht Club F&B guest satisfaction results for the fleet, monitors guest comments and takes necessary steps to address adverse feedback and improve ship and fleet ratings;
- Oversees the onboard implementation of food safety standards, as per company's guidelines;
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and looks for new ways to deliver a luxury and seamless Food and Beverage experience, while keeping up to date with industry trends and developments;
- Works closely with New Builds team on future vessel improvements and oversees the set-up and delivery of MSC Yacht Club F&B areas on new ships;
- Provides continuous coaching and development to the MSC Yacht Club F&B leadership;
- Supports Corporate HR and Crew office in the recruitment process for leadership positions within the MSC Yacht Club and develops and updates service trainings in line with luxury standards, overseeing shipboard delivery of service and product knowledge trainings;
- Oversees the promotions process and supports shipboard crew development by frequently assessing individual performance of shipboard leaders;
- Builds robust F&B teams with a strong culture of personalized, attentive and knowledgeable service;
